The Best African footballers in the world as of 2018

  1. Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli, Senegal):

The Senegalese defender has been doing amazingly well with Napoli. Over the past few years, Koulibaly has become one of the finest centre backs and it is about time he moves to one of the top European clubs. He has been a rock at the back consistently for Napoli and it seems this season they will be able to win the Serie A title after a long wait of 28 years. He has been very good in the air, very effective in reading the game and can only get better by moving to a top European club.

  1. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal, Gabon):

The Gabonese striker has been a constant threat in front of the goal and his stats in the Bundesliga speak volumes of his capabilities. Having now moved to Arsenal, Aubameyang will get lot more attention but it will not be easy for him. With his insane pace and clinical finishing, Aubameyang can be a deadly striker in the Premier League, one Arsenal desperately need.

  1. Naby Keita (RB Leipzig, Guinea):

The Leipzig midfielder will be seen next season playing for Liverpool in the Premier League. Keita with his box to box gameplay has been brutal in the Bundesliga. He can score goals, create goals and also help win the ball back. He is the complete midfielder and aged at 23, he has a long way to go. He is the modern midfielder Liverpool need and with the attack Liverpool have got, Keita is bound to settle very well and help the Reds immediately.

  1. Sadio Mane (Liverpool, Senegal):

Mane has been simply stunning for Liverpool ever since joining them. His blistering pace, nimble foot work and amazing ability to score goals from either foot makes him a very special player. Having already scored 12 goals in all competitions, Mane has been impressive to watch. He has a very important role to play having seen Coutinho join Barcelona. He still has things to learn but with time he can only get better.

  1. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, Egypt):

The Liverpool winger has been outstanding in the Premier League, making his return to the league, only this time with Liverpool. Salah was impressive with Roma but with Liverpool, he has been a totally different player. Salah has been in the goals consistently and has been their savior more than often. He has scored 30 goals in all competitions in spite of being a winger, which says how lethal he has been. His amazing pace, sharp foot work, scintillating dribbling and an eye for goal has made him arguably the signing of the season.
