- Manchester City:
Manchester City are trying very hard to defend their Premier league title this season with Liverpool posing a big threat to their title throne. At the same time, Pep Guardiola will be aiming that his team do better in the Champions league and go all the way this season. Pep has the squad and the talent required to win the Champions league but they will have to be very solid and consistent in their performances if they are to win the European tournament.
- Real Madrid:
The Los Blancos are not having the best of times in the La liga but they are having a contrasting time in the Champions league. The absence of Cristiano Ronaldo from the team looks pretty evident but in spite of that, Madrid have quite the firepower to put up a strong fight in defending their title this season. The likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane will have to step up immensely for Madrid to have a chance of winning the title again.
Jurgen Klopp and his men have surely shown an amazing style of gameplay this season. They have attacked brutally and at the same time managed to do pretty well at the back. They are not only challenging for the Premier league title after a long time but are also trying to make it worth in the Champions league. The trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will play a key factor in helping Liverpool achieve this feat if it is to happen.
Ever since 2015, Barcelona have failed to triumph in the Champions league and it is about time they do so. The Catalan club have made a number of signings this summer and with the depth they have in their squad, they are bound to do well in the Champions league. Above all, Lionel Messi will be looking to make it count this time in order to successfully bid for another Ballon d’Or win under his belt as the La liga leaders look to win at least a double this season.
The Old Lady have been unlucky to not win the Champions league in spite of reaching twice in the finals in the last five seasons. Gianluigi Buffon was one of those unlucky footballers to not achieve this feat till date but with his departure and the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at the club, things look different. Juventus have looked strong going forward and look more like a complete team compared to the previous tournaments. Ronaldo will be looking to add more accolades to his name by winning the Champions league with Juventus.
