5) Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid
The Belgian looks set to depart Stamford Bridge this summer after what has been a protracted transfer talk for the past few seasons. It looks highly likely that Courtois’ departure will finally fulfil Perez’s desire for a top level goalkeeper as Real have reportedly shown interest in the towering goalkeeper. Courtois’ reason for a move away though is likely down to personal reasons. The 26-year old’s family is settled in Madrid and as a result, Courtois wants to move back to Spain. What is likely still holding Courtois’ departure is Chelsea’s inability to find a suitable replacement. Jan Oblak’s name has come up in recent days while Jack Butland also has been touted as a possible replacement. If any of those rumours actually materialise, Courtois could soon be heading back to Spain.
4)Willian to Manchester United
Willian has had quite a week. The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Barca and those rumours were only strengthened by his absence from training. However, he did return on time to make an appearance in the Community Shield following which he made it clear that he had rejected advances from Barca in order to stay with Chelsea. However, three days later, in an interview with ESPNFC, he claimed that he would be willing to work with Jose once again, which has brought the rumours of a reunion back. With just 2 more days to go for the transfer market to close, it looks highly unlikely that the Blues will be ready to sell their prized asset however, money does the talking and if Jose offers anything above than Blues’ expectation, expect Willian to line up for Manchester United in the premier league next season.
3)Anthony Martial to Chelsea/Real Madrid
Martial was never in sync with Jose Mourinho. The fact was clear from day one and has never really changed. The result has been that Martial has been out of form for the last two years which in some ways has stunted his growth. He did not even make it to the national team for the World Cup and now after what has been a tumultuous summer for their relationship, looks set for a departure from Old Trafford. Martial’s agent already has been vocal about his client’s wish to leave the club while Mourinho too has not offered any assurances to the young Frenchman. To make matters worse, he publicly criticised Martial’s absence from the pre season tour. Chelsea and Real Madrid have reportedly lined up to sign the talented youngster and it remains to be seen where he actually ends up.
2) Robert Lewandowski to Chelsea
The Polish captain has already spoken of his desire to move away from Bayern in pursuit of a new challenge. Having scored at an average of 30 goals in each of his seasons with the Bavarians, it is clear that Lewandowski is a striker of the highest quality. The much heaped criticism on him after Bayern’s failure in the Champions league has arguably played its part in the Pole’s wish to leave the club nevertheless, the Bavarians are standing firm with Karl Heinz Rummeniege making it clear that Lewandowski will not be sold at any cost but then again nobody envisioned Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid for Juventus.
1) Paul Pogba to Barcelona
This is perhaps the eye-catching rumour in last few days. The Frenchman who is also now a world-cup winner is reportedly seeking a move away from Manchester United or shall we say Jose Mourinho. The strained relationship between the duo was evident last season and Mourinho only further exacerbated the situation by claiming that it was not his responsibility to get the best out of Pogba but rather it is the Frenchman himself. His agent, Mino Raiola, is reportedly contemplating a way to help Pogba get awayfrom the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’. Former club Juve too are keen but it is Barca who are reportedly the front runners.
