Ronaldo lands in Turin for his first practice session
Cristiano Ronaldo will be plying his trade for Juventus from the current season onwards, and that has created a shockwave throughout the World, especially Italian economy. The Portuguese star, who was away on a long vacation following the latest World Cup duties, landed at the Turin airport, and will join Juventus’ indoor training facility.
However, he may not take part in ICC tournament and the chance to play against his now former club, Real Madrid. Ronaldo, much like any other player was given extra time off due to International duties but is expected to kickstart his career in Italy against Chievo in the first matchday of the Serie A 2018/19 season. Ronaldo’s move to Juventus has been nothing short of a blockbuster film, and despite the news being some weeks old now, people of the Old Lady are still making their voices heard.
Neymar pledges to return as a different player
Neymar’s recent theatrics was enough to feed the social media for some time now, and the Brazilian star seemed to take the matter with a fair sense of humour, but in a recent interview he made it clear that the Neymar that everybody made fun of or was made the scapegoat of another hexa failure for Brazil at the World Cup will change. Neymar responded to his critics and said that he was childish, and his frustration often got the better of him, and he couldn’t react accordingly. His lightweight had also made it hard for him to survive tough challenges, but that is all in the past.
Under Tuchel, who is known to be a stickler for rules may soon get to see a different version of Neymar, and PSG’s elusive dream of lifting a Champions League trophy may soon be over. Neymar’s pledge has left a stinging message for all the social media hustlers, and despite the criticism one cannot deny Neymar’s talent as a footballer. His close friend Dani Alves also came in his support and reminded people of Neymar’s greatness.
Everton to cash in Digne, Fosu Mensah to stay at United
The French left back who had spent most of his career on the bench in Barcelona has been granted permission by the Catalans to leave for Everton. The 25-year old was expected to fight for a spot with Jordi Alba, but Valverde’s immovable trust in the Spaniard meant, Digne had to sit out and lose a spot in France’s 23-man squad that later went on to win the World Cup. Everton may splash £25 million for the defender, and in the current market that seems reasonable. Barcelona will be clearing their lines as Valverde has hinted at more signings.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who is expected to fill in Carrick’s void at United will look to fight for a spot at his boyhood club. Fosu-Mensah has made it clear that he wants to play for United and will not be going anywhere else.
