Lionel Messi posts photo of Ciro Messi

Lionel Messi is having another great season both individually and team wise. However, it is his personal life which has now been ushered by the arrival of baby boy Ciro Messi. Messi opted to not take the flight to Malaga, and Valverde gave him a clean chit to go. It was later discovered that Messi was about to grace his third child son, named Ciro. He posted a photo of Ciro holding his dad’s hand, and left the Internet gushing over it.

Messi’s other two sons, Thiago and Mateo have already won over the Internet, and the family of four will now expand to five, and this may come in a good time with the World Cup, ,and yet another chance of securing a treble possible for daddy Messi.

Liverpool face the music at Old Trafford

Liverpool has been in scintillating form of late, but their trip to Old Trafford was not a merry one, as a certain young prodigy Marcus Rashford stole the bragging rights. The English winger, who has not given enough minutes under Mourinho, and may be left out by Southgate for the trip to Russia, showed why the United fans revere him. Both his goals came after he cut back onto his favoured right foot and blasted thunderous efforts past Karius, albeit one was deflected. United started off in a similar patchy manner, and Pogba was mysteriously left out of the squad, further enunciating the rift between him and his Portuguese coach. Rashford started alongside Sanchez and Lukaku, and it was the Belgian’s sublime flick that saw Rashford score the first goal. United soon took a 2-goal lead, and Salah, Liverpool’s messiah was kept under constant pressure by Ashley Young. Matic was at his absolute best, and Sanchez had a pretty good game.

Liverpool upped the ante after the second half resumed and it was Eric Bailey who pulled off a Zidane-esque turn in the first half scored an audacious own goal. However, United’s defence was too much for the Reds to breach, and they sit at third. United will look to carry on the momentum into the match against Sevilla, where Pogba is expected to start. Mata, who played in Pogba’s place had a terrific influence as well.

Barcelona sign 21-year old Brazilian Arthur

€30 million has been splashed on the services of Arthur, a prodigious Brazilian midfielder that has set the stage alongside Luan of Gremio. Arthur, whose playing style is somewhat similar to that of Xavi, and resembles a similar diminutive figure has shown his range of passing with Gremio and is a formidable talent to say the least. However, the acquisition of Barcelona will see a scamper for a three-man midfield as Iniesta still playing at the helm, and Coutinho adjusting to the Catalan lifestyle. However, it is expected Arthur will play bits and parts role in his first full season, which is due to start from July 2018.
