Mourinho loses 1-2 to his former team as Real look secure and receive their first trophy of this season

Jose Mourinho was up against a few known faces as Manchester United took on reigning European Champions, Real Madrid. Mourinho, who spent three seasons at Santiago Bernabeu winning the Copa Del Rey and League title ended on the losing side as Real Madrid beat Manchester United 2-1. Goals from Casemiro and Isco won the game for Real with a 62nd-minute strike from Romelu Lukaku that went down in vain for United.

Barcelona desperate to sign Neymar’s replacement

After a shell shocking move from Barcelona to PSG, Neymar already looks at home as he teams up with fellow compatriots. On the other hand, Barcelona does not seem to have recovered from the shock loss and is desperate to land another Brazilian sensation Philippe Coutinho. However, their effort seems to have hit a dead end as Klopp determined not to lose his biggest and most talented star.

Barcelona faced another rejection in the form of Paulinho, as the latter’s club does not want to sell him away. The onus remains on club talisman and one of the greatest of the game Lionel Messi, as Valverde’s dream of slotting Messi in the midfield might be over. Messi will look to play on the right with Deulofeu taking Neymar’s place. The Spaniard showed scintillating form in the latter part of the previous season with Milan, and although not as talented as Neymar he has got few tricks up his sleeves as well. Iniesta and Busquets might not get the required rest they would need to finish the upcoming season on a high, and pressure will be on Denis Suarez as well to prove his worth.

Manchester could resign Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could make a sensational return to Manchester United as Jose Mourinho looks to have boosted his attacking options. Zlatan is currently out of contract and is very much keen on a return to Old Trafford. United’s latest signing Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic share the same agent in Mino Raiola, and this could work well for both the parties. United’s supporters will be delighted to have Zlatan back in the team once again as United look forward to launching a serious title assault this season. With 28 goals in all competition last season, Zlatan has proved that age is just a number and he can adapt to any league and style of football.
