We take a look at the best eleven of the Europa League 2019.

  • Goalkeeper

Kepa Arrizabalaga- the Chelsea shot stopper’s heroics send the Blues into the finals of the Europa League. The Spaniard blocked off two shots enabling Hazard to slip one past Trapp to send the Blues into frenzy. Kepa has proven himself in the Blue shirt in this competition.

  • Defenders

Davide Zappacosta- another Chelsea player in the XI, this time at right back. The defender was instrumental in the second leg. He came in the 78th minute and immediately made himself a nuisance for Eintracht.

 

Martin Hinteregger- The centre back who is on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt, has been instrumental for the club. The defender put his all in the semifinal against Chelsea hereby grabbing a place in the list.

 

David Luiz- the Brazilian centre back was very solid in the match against Frankfurt and generally all season. He pulled off an amazing goal line clearance to deny Frankfurt a winning chance.

 

Emerson Palmieri- rounding up the back four is Chelsea’s Emerson as a left back. The Brazilian took over from Alonso in the left back position and is very versatile with his play making skills.

 

  • Midfielders

Ruben Loftus Cheek- The midfielder scored an important goal for the Blues before it got cancelled out by Jovic. He has been fruitful for Chelsea this season given that he has mainly been used as a sub.

 

Mijat Gacinovic- The young midfielder proved his worth impressing fans against Chelsea. Gacinovic proved he can be relied upon although the Serbian has a lot to learn still.

 

Eden Hazard- the Blues superstar has impressed time and again in the number 10 shirt. Hazard scored the decisive penalty to send Chelsea into the final against Arsenal. Now that his time at Stamford Bridge appears to be over, Hazard will hope to end on a high.

  • Forwards

Alexandre Lacazette- the Arsenal forward scored a goal in the Gunners riot over Valencia. Lacazette forms a deadly partnership with Aubameyang with the former complementing the latter beautifully.

 

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang- the hat trick hero sunk Valencia in the semi finals. Aubameyang has been splendid for Arsenal in the domestic league as well as the Europa championship. Arsenal will be banking on him against Chelsea in the final.

Kevin Gameiro- the Valencia centre forward gave his all in the semi final. He scored two for Valencia before Aubameyang put on a show.
