- Thibaut Courtois:
Real Madrid have been in need of a goalkeeper from a long time. Current goalkeeper Keylor Navas has done well but has lacked consistency immensely at times. His decision making has been very questionable at times and has cost Madrid some important losses. Madrid were in hunt for David De Gea but it seems that the Spaniard is unlikely to leave Manchester United and that is why the next feasible option that is available is Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper did very well in the World Cup this year and is willing to leave Chelsea as his children already reside in Spain. Adding Courtois between the sticks will bring a big boost to the Madrid squad.
- Daniele Rugani:
Chelsea have been looking for Rugani’s signature but Juventus are strong in their stance of not letting Rugani leave. It seems difficult with Leonardo Bonucci coming back at Juventus that Rugani will get regular game time with the Old Lady. Rugani can be a very good understudy to Sergio Ramos at Madrid and in a year or two, he can become a regular figure with the Los Blancos. It will be difficult to convince the 21-year old though with the competition present at Madrid but it can be a very good signing if it happens.
- Edinson Cavani:
The Uruguayan striker has been consistently involved in goals and looked in good form in the World Cup too. His knack of scoring regularly is desperately what Madrid need right now with Cristiano Ronaldo joining Juventus and Karim Benzema struggling to be effective in front of the goal last season. Having a natural striker will do Madrid a lot of good as they need to get goals from everywhere and given how effective Cavani is in the box, he can only take Madrid forward with his performances on the pitch.
- Robert Lewandowski:
The Polish striker has been linked with a move away to Real Madrid more than once but till date it hasn’t materialized. Lewandowski when on song is one of the most dangerous strikers in the world. Madrid need a goal scoring machine upfront to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo and if somehow Madrid can get his signature, they can instantly be considered favorites to win both the La Liga and the Champions League.
- Eden Hazard:
The Chelsea winger has already expressed interest in trying a new adventure by leaving the Blues. He has his options open and it seems difficult for Maurizio Sarri to convince the Belgian captain to stay if Madrid go all guns blazing to sign him. Hazard is one of the best wingers currently in the football world and to sign him will be no less than a replacement for Ronaldo. That being said, Hazard will have to be a lot more consistent with the Los Blancos.
